No I did not buy a McClelland or Esoterica tin. My first colonoscopy!
I was pretty nervous going in but I have to agree with literally everyone else that has had one, super easy and it could save your life. I am 49 and decided to go in a year earlier then recommended as my father and brother had polyps removed during their procedures. For me the prep was not that bad, it was the hunger part that was the most annoying. I ended up going 42 hours without food and towards the end our smallest dog was looking like a Kielbasa.
I was conscious the whole time and was (pardon the pun) in and out in 75 minutes. Detected early you have a great chance of surviving colon cancer, caught late you are not facing great odds. I was clear so 10 years until my next one.
So don’t put it off!
