Weingott was for most of the XX century THE oldest brand of Pipe manufacturers in London
For most of the XIX and XX century his pipes were some of the best ever made in London
These pipes are extremely rare and much sought after by pipe collectors worldwide.(Pipedia)

Well that may used to be a billiard, there is some heavy topping during the restoration and it's visible from the lighter color.

Yes it has been topped, but still a very nice looking pipe. I love a good thick walled pipe.
It has been topped. it was at least 3mm taller. It looked like someone had used a blow torch to light it.
I think they thought you smoked the pipe itself rather than fill it with tabacco.
