Was in Boston for a hot minute but the Warden let me stop by this iconic shop. I had visited so many times back in the ‘90s but I wasn’t a pipe smoker back then. I saw the shop in a whole new light today. Walked away with a 2024 Dracula Halloween pipe, a couple ounces of their 432 aromatic and a smoke I’ve been wanting to try. Was excited to see the Poe statue out front too!

The blend on the label - there's me squinting at the tins in the TAD thread, not a clue. They could be doctor's prescriptions and I'd be none the wiser. Maybe only pharmacists can decode them?
Watch City is pretty much the same . Good companies , but borderline illegible markings on product .

The oxidation prevents further corrosion.
Especially with bronze. Rust on iron/steel is oxidation, but it keeps going, with bronze, once the surface has fully oxidized, the oxidation stops and it creates a protective layer. Though there's other forms of corrosion that could destroy it than just oxidation (like galvanic corrosion if it comes in contact with the wrong kinds of metal).

Chrome is the same way, and also forms a green oxide, it's just so thin that you can't see it.
