Are the Virginias in ODF red or yellow?
I am interested in replicating the taste in a homemade blend and could not quite put my hand on what Virginias they used there.

I don't know, and Mac Barens isn't telling, and the eight or ten reviewers aren't guessing, so I'll guess it's yellow Virginia, admitting that it could be red or both.

...and Mac Baren sources their Vas from several countries.

I admire the experimental spirit and depth of involvement in the hobby, but their flake making process would seem to require resources beyond those of even an extreme hobbyist.

Seeing how it's flue cured Virginia, that would make it "bright". My guess would be yellow or orange.
