Thanks! Yeah, I've heard about that happening there. One attribute Drew Estate has in its favor is that, for the most part, it's well within the realm of obscurity, by virtue of the fact that they only blended for about five years' time. That's not nearly long enough to really develop a brand name, and the fact that six of their eight blends are aromatics would certainly lend the casual inquirer to dismiss them as being one-dimensional. Still, I know I'm not the only fan out there, but I set my cap, and it worked out swimmingly. I'll be especially glad to supplement my two DE favorites, Grand Central and Gatsby Luxury Flake.

Wow, small world! I never even thought anyone else from here would be on a DE auction. Maybe the Dunhill Aperitif auction I was also keeping an eye on (albeit halfheartedly), but not this one. There were only two other bidders, one of whom tried to box me out in the final 10 seconds, but I somehow slid through at the last second. Perhaps the TAD gods were guiding me? I shouldn't be so vain...but seriously, it went down to the last couple of seconds, literally!

Potential acknowledgement of recession, perhaps? That'd be my guess. Price gouging habits rarely augment themselves unless it's by force.

You know some samples would convince me you know what you're talking about . Yeah I can put my shame and dignity in a little box when there is a chance of guilting a person into free tobacco . Nah but if I make it out that way you will have to let me pack a medium sized pipeful!!

increased supply. A lot less of the here is your one chance until you see this again. And also more people who are desperate to try these blends have and aren't competing for the same blends.

About the same in Canada. Sometimes it feels as though pipers are slowly being priced out of existance.

I am 100% that those setting the taxes know that it is a false equivalence to compare cigarettes to pipe tobacco or even cigars but they don't care; whatever to make life more miserable to the common man and give the state more taxes. I don't think there is going to be any change to these hostile anti-piper policies in any near future.
