I distilled youthful over-accessorizing down to a watch, a Seiko Tri-Graph. Then, four years ago, the battery finally gave its last, and I was informed at a certified Seiko retailer that I would have to ship the watch to a centralized service center to have the battery replaced and the watch to retain its water resistance (pressurized repair room and all that jazz). I put the watch back in its original box. No jewelry anymore. One iPhone or another has more or less served as a pocket watch to me since.
