I would have fallen off the wagon as well...I assume (having no idea what the pipe sold for)I hemmed and hawed over it…
I mean, the last thing I need, is another pipe.
Then I fell off the PAD wagon. Its siren call was just too great.![]()
If I had that pipe, I would have a new stem made out of Cumberland, to extend the OAL to about 6-6.5”.Curious why this hasn’t sold:
I love everything about this except to boxwood accent; maybe everyone else shares that sentiment![]()
I would imagine that between Peterson and his own creations, his plate is pretty full. Taking on commissions opens a whole nother can of worms. That's a good price. I've been looking for a '309'-shaped Penzo for a while, but must have been asleep at the wheel while this one was up. I asked him to make me a pipe similar to the 309-ish one he made for Mark I, but he said he doesn't take requests.
He chose Peterson and making pipes for retailers who sell his pipes, over taking commissions. Valid business decision. He's the only artisan pipe-maker I can think of who doesn't take commissions.I would imagine that between Peterson and his own creations, his plate is pretty full. Taking on commissions opens a whole nother can of worms.
