That's a good price. I've been looking for a '309'-shaped Penzo for a while, but must have been asleep at the wheel while this one was up. I asked him to make me a pipe similar to the 309-ish one he made for Mark I, but he said he doesn't take requests.
I would imagine that between Peterson and his own creations, his plate is pretty full. Taking on commissions opens a whole nother can of worms.

He chose Peterson and making pipes for retailers who sell his pipes, over taking commissions. Valid business decision. He's the only artisan pipe-maker I can think of who doesn't take commissions.
