I posted about this on the pipe show thread but thought I would add a blurb here on the tobacco thread, as well. At the NASPC Columbus Show this weekend there were hundreds of tins of vintage tobacco available, and, as an example, I was able to pick up 3 McClelland 100g tins for only $250 total (2007 Christmas Cheer; 2004 Mixture No. 12 and 2007 No. 22 Virginia see photo below). Compare those prices with the offerings on Tin Bids. I also got an old sealed 1 lb tin of LJ Peretti‘s London Flake for only $30: two sealed tins of 2001 & 2003 Dunhill Apertiff for $20 each and a sealed 2006 tin of Germain‘s Royal Jersey for $15. Redeemed Pipes had several large tubs of 10+ year old tins for sale from a large cellar Ben had purchased. This show is a must event to find vintage tobaccos.

Depending on the year of that London Flake it could have been made with McCelland too

No date, but man was that that 1lb LJP paint vacuum sealed tight. A well-known tobacco distributor and I bent two czech tools trying to open it until we went over to Tim West’s table and he opened it with a bowl chisel. Everyone who smoked it loved it.
