I typically find this blend to be a bit rough around the edges. Some time ago I read that someone used Cavendish to smooth things up a bit. I do not have plain Cavendish but the Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish works while also adding a bit of sweet and cream.

I don’t know that I’ve experienced any notable roughness myself - I’ve Ben through a number of 2oz tins through the past decade. I do know that they’ve all had a minimum of 2 years age on them. I don’t have any open currently, but I have an 8oz tin cellared from 2014 and a pair of 2oz tins from 2012. It’s been slipping into my mind recently, might need to consider popping one as “cocoa season” approaches!
