I don't dry anywhere near as much as other folk it seems. I cut them super skinny leave them for an hour or so & then loosely stuff them in. Only one will get rubbed out for the top.

They're really hard to light, but once they're up & running I get a really long satisfying smoke with surprisingly little moisture at the end. The oiliness is a lot of why I think you get such a rich flavour from them.

In a dry climate, they need 2-3 hours of drying time. I cube cut it, rub it out, and then lay it out on a paper towel for 2-3 hours.
I have found that these twists will not stay lit in a narrow conical bowl. When I switched from a Dublin to a Pot it was transformative.

Also, these tobaccos need a lot of air for combustion, so pack somewhat loose, and make sure the pipe you use has a wide open draw.
Very good point. I almost never have to abort or re-pack a bowl because the draw is too tight, but the twists have almost always been the culprit when it's happened.

They expand and if you don’t leave room they swell up and plug.
Ditto. ?
