tsuge triangle - acrylic stem ?

tsuge pipes - do they use vulcanite or acrylic stems ??
looking at a tsuge triangle but acrylic stem which may be a replacement - unsmoked
any ideas ?

I have three Tsuge pipes and all of them have vulcanite stems.

I have both an Ikebana and a Triangle. The Ikebana has a vulcanite stem. The triangle has a Lucite stem.

i read that the coating inside the bowl tastes terrible & it should be carefully sanded off down to briar -

any tsuge pipe smokers confirm this ??
