Took A Chance On A Pipe Case & It Paid Off

Since my new Strambach meer didn't come with a case I took a chance on one from fleabay.

Some of the "antique" ones looked not only too small, but very ratty.

Found one for $15 that looked in good shape and about right. Got some measurements of it and figured close enough.

Not too shabby:





And bingo was his name-o!



A simple billiard shape probably made things simple though.

I have a box full of 'cutty' cases I purchased on Ebay over time trying to find one to fit a pipe I sent Weezell the other year for Xmas. I think you are right in that you have better luck with the more conventional shapes like the billiard.

Very lucky, but I would also say the due diligence was a major contributor

I managed to get some pics of it with a ruler showing inside dimensions before ordering.

You can see the angle is off just a tiny bit but that probably helps keep it a little more snug in the case.
