I was perusing the 'Bay and came accross a sealed tin of 1949 H&H and a 1950 tin. I took a chance. I was able to date the stamps through Woodsroads research on an earlier thread.
I was wondering if you guys have had luck coaxing tobacco this old back to life. Being the small tins I am sure they will come dry.
And also, so the info is out there, here is Woods' findings on tax stamps:
"The tax stamp date of 1926 refers to the Tax Stamp Act of 1926, not the date of issue. But note "Series 113". After 1932, the Series number was added, starting with the number 102, increasing by one every year up until 1955, when the tax stamp law underwent a major change. Thus, this tin dates to 1943, making the tin 71 years old, not 90."

My inbound tins are "119" and "120"
