Tobacco Left in Glove Box for 8 Months. Predictions?

So my car died in October in Wyoming and I couldn't fix it until June. The temps ranged from -5°F to 80°F. In the glove box were a couple KBV blends, one loose, one a plug. I'll open them soon but what do you think might have happened to these blends? Just a fun question from my perspective.

Just dried out a little I suspect. My truck is messy enough that I find little ziplock bags of tobacco occasionally, they would easily be kicking around for a year or so before discovery.

A bit stoved, a bit aged. If tins had no leaks, they should be just fine.

They were in the standard KBV mylar if that helps. Hopefully I'll get one opened before I go out of the country.

I'll wager that your Secret Santa has long since absconded with them. After all, they know your address, so they're the most likely culprit. Look for the items on TinBids in the coming months, or even "gifted" to a different SS participant this next time around (posting a message on the SS thread when it gets created might be a helpful preventative measure).

Or they could just be completely fine. It's 50/50, really.

It's going to look and taste exactly like tobacco that was stored in a car glovebox in Wyoming for nine months with a temperature range from -5 to 80 degrees.

Sealed in mylar and max of 80°F? I'd guess no change or just a bit mellower from light stoving.

I've got a jar of PBJ (visions of celephais+Wilke pb) aging intentionally in my jeep. Should be ready after 1 year. - 15° to 110°

It could be little iffy for you. I will depend on how they kept their seal and humidity.

If they are sealed well, they should be just fine with little change if in the 80s was the highest heat they experienced. If they were not sealed very well, probably just dried out tobacco!

I should probably clarify that 80s was the outside temp and it's a black car that sat in the sun so the internal temp was higher.

The reason I ask is that I read a thread here years ago where a guy left a tin in his truck for a while, seal intact, and he was lamenting that it ruined the tobacco. Never tried it until this "accident" and just wondered what you all thought it might do to the tobacco.
