Tobacco And Short Term Sub-Zero Temps

So winter is right around the corner, which means extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees. Does anyone here who regularly order tobacco online, bother worrying about their tobacco freezing into solid blocks? I was curious about this when placing an order earlier.

Never really thought about it. I'm so excited for my tobacco to come in I'm practically sitting by the mailbox the day it's supposed to arrive. I think freezing only slows down the aging process and doesn't really effect the tobacco in any other way. Also, just thinking about it, tins are vacuum sealed, so they would have a thermos effect and would probably take awhile to reach freezing temps

I'd rather it get really cold than really hot. I don't believe your shipment of tobacco will be frozen into solid blocks or even close to it. I've yet to experience a shipment be adversely affected by the weather. That tobacco leaf is exposed to some weather extremes several times before it ever goes in a package and manages to survive. It isn't that fragile.

Don't worry about it. Other than the tin being cold to the touch, I haven't had any issues with the tobacco at all.

Cigars yes, pipe tobacco no. Cigars can split to heck with substantial temp changes.
