Inspired by the interview with Mark Tinsky, I contacted him about carving a new hunk of briar for me. He sounded like such an interesting man with an incredibly storied past! I (ashamedly) was not familiar with his work before your show and further perusing of his website. The pipes I saw there were absolutely beautiful and I knew I had to have one. After several e-mail conversations and pictures of my favorite pipes, shape wise, he surprised me the next morning with a picture of a completed pipe! One day? Are you kidding me? We decided an Amber stem would really make it sing, so the next morning a had a picture of the final edition. I am now camping out under the mailbox waiting for my (his) masterpiece to arrive! Photos to come next week. Thank you Brian and Kevin for continuing to expand our knowledge and introduce us to these wonderful artisans!
