Thoughts on Kovalev?

I used to see him as a dilettante but the following two pipes radically altered that impression.

Anyone have an opinion of the quality of his work, particularly the design of the airway and slot?

His work is stunning. Cant say anything else except he is a crazy millionaire doctor scientist who makes pipes which are WAY beyond my league. Unless someone gifts it to me or sell one at 75% discount.

That billiard spigot currently listed... I love it! That titanium metalwork is brilliant! I think he's among the best making pipes, innovative yet Classic at the same time. I don't own one yet, but will.
