I recently dedicated a briar to C&D Jolly Old St. Nick and finished the tin. So I decided to do the ghost test. First bowl of Haunted Bookshop and the ghosted HB is wonderful. In fact I may say the ghosted HB is better than the St Nick. Anyone else experience this with an aromatic?

I've got a couple of cobs that I keep to the side for the rare occasion that I smoke an aromatic. I've found that I enjoy occasionally smoking a burley blend in them. Smoking burley in those pipes makes for a tobacco-forward experience with some vanilla and other common aromatic notes in the background.

I like this post! Great ideas on taking advantage of ghosting. I’ll have to try this.

Sure, all the time. That's why I don't designate any pipes. A little holdover isn't bad. The only blends I would avoid, without designating a pipe, are Lakelands aros.
