Since my beginnings, I've been enchanted by straight grain pipes and never tire of looking at them. This is FAR from an original topic, but it should be that way. So PLEASE show off your straightest of grains!

M. Elkin Straight Grain straight pot. Pretty much the only one I have at the moment. Broke the stem off in the shank when I dropped it last week. It shall rise again!!

I've never been totally enamored with straight grain, as I usually find birds eye and figured grain more interesting. However, I do have a couple of them, and this Iwan Ries Savinelli Straight Grain 622 is probably the best example I have. Nice chunky bent pot with thick walls. Just a great smoking pipe!

Wow and the Birdseye on the rim is stunning! That grain is flowing like a river or a tree branching out from the base! Awesome!!
