After years and years of curiousity and uncertainty, I decided to purchase a savinelli 320ks pipe. There has always been something about it that has drawn me to it, but oddly also had me shy away at the same time. I'm not really a clencher, except maybe momentarily at a time, and the large round bowl looks as if it will be nice to hold in the hand. We will see soon enough if I warm up to it!

Anyone else like or dislike this model?

The 320ks is very popular. They have a huge following. I do not have one but would absolutely buy one if the time and place were right.

You'll buy more haha! They really are fantastic pipes. Took me a while to purchase one years ago when it seemed they were all the rage here. I thought they were ugly. They're not ugly at all really, they're just not very photogenic. Lovely in person. And if there is such a thing as a magic pipe, the 320 is one. All of mine are fantastic smokers. Great for complex blends. I now have several and know I will purchase more. My latest was a Whisky 320. What line is yours from?

I had 2 of them in my sights that I liked at the time, a Minerva rusticated and a punto oro gold. I ended up getting the punto oro, but I'll probably get both if I decide I REALLY like it when it gets here. I already think I'll love it though, lol. The whiskey line is beautiful too! So many nice ones to choose from, makes it tough

I always see yours posted on ways thread, and thats what honestly made me finally decide to go for it.
I’m betting you’ll love them too.
The chamber dimensions really make them a go to pipe for anything for me. They’re nice in hand , comfortable in clench and smoke
extremely well. The Punto Oro I have has been through the ringer with every blend imaginable, salt baths, coffee baths, water rinses, drops etc. Still looks and performs fantastically. I’d say the more abuse it’s endured the better smoker it’s become.

I feel exactly the same, both drawn to and yet unsure of the Author shape. Yet I keep looking at them and I know that I will acquire one at some point and it will be a Savinelli.

I like the author shape generally, and I find the 320KS to be one of the best. Being a Savinelli shape, there are lots of inexpensive variations. And if you really want to save a few bucks, the Rossi 8320 is the same shape.
Love the shape. The only 1 I own is the Rossi. What finally prompted me to get it was the Rossi was being sold for $42.
