This Peterson Shannon is my most recent acquisition.

I knew Peterson drill their pipes with a considerable distance between their mortis and tenon.

Cutting a third off a Savinelli 6mm balsam filter fills the space quite nicely.

Now if I could just find a stand that holds a Bulldog without tipping over.

I have a Peterson 999 that I do the same thing too. It's the only pipe I have every had that gurgles like crazy, but my wife bought it for me so I can't get rid of it. Also The Nording keystones, and a small cut piece of pipe cleaner works great to absorb moisture too. Thanks for showing this.

I have a Shannon Bulldog that gurgles too. No big deal when I'm at hoe, but trying to stick a pipe cleaner in there while driving? I'll have to experiment with the Sav filters and Nording Keystones. You use them with a piece of pipe cleaner?

I've heard people using a piece of pipe cleaner but I think the Savinelli balsam is more absorbent and it doesn't effect the draw as far as I can tell.
