I’ve conservatively got 500 bowls burned through this DGE nose warmer.

It does almost everything right.
My only knock on cobs is I don’t think you can ever maximize the complete flavor of a blend in one.
Granted, that holds true for the majority of briar pipes as well, but a perfectly built briar - the right wood and the right draw - just seems to let everything out.
If I smoked nothing but Five Bros., or similar, I’d need nothing but a cob, but I just can’t get all the flavor potential of most of my blends in a cob.

Yup, I love my covs. Started with briar, and have six briar pipes. Decided to give a cob a chance and bought a 2 pack country gentleman with one straight and one bent. Got forever stems on them both. I loved them so much I picked up a Dagner poker, Charles Towne Cobbler, and an Emerald somewhat recently.

I smoke English blends and find the cob makes them taste better for me, doesn’t get as hot as my briars, and so smokes cooler and drier. Cobs all the way for me.
