The Crazy Haul Part II

Well, this is the product of the second and final -for now- trade.
The guy got three very nice British pipes (two 4 digit Charatans and a BBB) and I got these two gorgeous pipes. A Pavel Gorbunov and another Daniel Mustran.

@Gloucesterman, you are absolutely right Dutch, the Gorbunov is a showstopper. This one required some work. First I gave it the cotton-alcohol treatment as it was awfully ghosted. Then I sanded the rim because it was burned and charred, and finally I completely stripped it and re-stained it for it was a light shade of orange and was full of finger grease. Finally I waxed it, which was not an easy job.

I'm actually pretty happy with the end result, although I would have wanted to achieve a lighter stain.

Your expert opinion?
And yes, the matched pair is nice to have!

I just had a bowl of PS Bullseye Luxury Flake in the Gorbunov. Great smoke. Amongst my top 3 pipes easy, maybe one of my top 2 pipes.
