Sat at work and the boss has just come into my office, apparently someone has complained about me having a pipe rack on my desk (only 3 pipes, falcon, wagstaff & mm), he said he didnt mind but I should probably take them home due to the companies no smoking policy......BAH!
...Anyway moving back towards what I wanted to ask. One of these three is a straight BullDog stamped 'Wagstaff DeLuxe 99' (pictures to follow when I get home)...I cant find anything on the web (pipepedia included) about the pipe. It came in a job lot of pipes from a seller that said they were his granddads who gave up smoking in the 1940's. It would be pretty smashing to think a have a handful of pipes 40 years older than me, but I need some validation....discuss!!!!

Heh heh... he said "wagstaff"...
Srsly, tho, I have a couple of bulldogs with odd names that seem to be un-researchable. My opinion is that mine were made by small French factories in the fifties. (One is Algerian briar.)
Really the only way to find out is exactly what you are doing, ask around. Good luck!

Alas, there are probably dozens of unknowns out there, perfectly good pipes made by companies that for one reason or another did not survive. I wish you luck on your search for information. If the pipe smokes well, and you like it, I would have to just accept it for what it is. Besides, it has such a catchy name!
