Tamper for Meerschaum

I use metal with no problems. I know they make tamper out of meerschaum, but they're probably metal tipped so...

I refuse to buy the metal tipped meer tampers. Just doesn't make much sense to me. My first is all meer, and so will my next.

Nah just seems like it would color faster being meer on ember lmao.

But since u put it that way..

The body of my tamper is barely coloring at all. Just the superheated foot of it. So in my pretend scenario, a tamper with a metal foot, wouldn't color at all! But I understand how the shanks of the pipes color faster than the outside of the bowl.

Now my head hurts.

I have my new Meerschaum tamper commission in progress. Being carved by Mustafa at Astas Meerschaum.
Based off this guy. Won't see if for a couple weeks at least.



This is the tamper I'll be using untill its meerfriend shows up. The brother of my last one who's playing hide and seek.

My other meer tamper is great and i love it, but really, in my world, really isn't all that practical. Something this shape can also be used as a scoop for the dottle atleast.

I Cannot wait! Will post picture updates when I get them! (That is, if anyone cares that I bought a way overly priced tamper...)

Altinay makes tampers with shell casings, cant imagine they are not for their own pipes.

Glad to see that, I use a 44mag case loaded with no powder, a spent primer and a 300gr hard cast bullet for a perfectly weighted (~1oz) tamper.
