Back in 2021, before I took up pipe smoking, I got a number of D&R and Stokkebye for RYO injection. I abandoned it because I was getting a dryer sheet taste, which I now realize was now the cheap filters and not my tobacco. Anyhow I cellared them and when finally smoking the Stokkebye No 84 I had in a pipe, it's fantastic (as well as the rest of the D&R blends - obviously, the tubes I have weren't cutting it!)

Anyhow, I still have a ton but looking online it seems the Turkish Export (pipe version) has now been discontinued. Doing some more research, saw a Reddit post by someone lamenting the discontinuation of the TE84 and a commenter said that Newminster 84 is basically the same thing - due to rights/legal issues, now it is manufactured by them. Has anyone compared the two or does anyone have more info on this? Just was curious. I did see Villiger makes it, and I know that was a related company to Stokkebye, or something like that? I really love the Turkish spice from this tobacco, and it smokes fantastic in the pipe. Ample nicotine also, I'd say maybe medium strength. Scratches the itch for an original formula Camel, but even better methinks.

I believe I've got a pound of Turkish Export socked away in the cellar if interested. It's got at least 5 years on it and hasn't been touched since jarring it.
