I ended up buying three more last night, just couldn’t pass up this deal. I already own shape 13 and 29 in the Trio line and I like em so much I’m now going to have two of each. I also got a straight Rhodesian (forget the shape number) but it appears that I got to it just in time cause the price jumped back up to $50. It’s not everyday that you can buy a quality pipe for $20 a piece.

I got a 32, 83,95,185,246,403, and a Bent Dublin. They are all good, but one has a bit of a smudge or something in the finish. Still, I can't complain. Great deal!

Wow, this is quite a buying spree. Not sure I've ever seen "the like." And justly so. Everyone was skeptical when Stanwell moved production to Italy, since we all respected the Danish product and in traditional pipe smoking we all hate change. But like others, I took the plunge with a pipe or two from Italy, and was roundly pleased. This is an incredible pipe at an even more incredible price. Even though I paid over twice as much for mine, and don't need any more, I'm glad Forums folks can avail themselves of this opportunity. PC seems to have the edge on the Stanwell market, and I really appreciate it. I always feel I'm lighting up a good smoke in one of my Stanwells.

I absolutely agree with you. I had 7 Italian Stanwell's in my collection before this sale even existed and I’m impressed by each and everyone of them. The “Brushed” line isn’t my favorite finish as I think it makes them look like basket pipes but I believe these are meant as their lower level pipes anyway but they are still way better quality than the average basket pipe and right now they can be had at a ridiculously low price point.

Sale prices still aren’t showing up for me by the way. That’s totally fine with me, I don’t need anymore pipes as it is and certainly don’t need to be tempted with anymore.

Hawky, if your clear your browser's cache (cookies) then the sale price will show again.
Thanks. Clear the cache and the $19 price shows again. Guess the deal is still good. One has to wonder how many pipes are in their inventory.

Checked today and the price is still showing $19. Plus they have all the shapes in stock again. I got to order the 207 that was showing out of stock the other day. Nice pipes at a great price!!

Very nice pipes. Mine has a bit of a blockage in the stem. I think it's glue where the tenon was glued in. Tried to file it down a bit. Cleaner boogers kept getting stuck in the stem.

Looks like they just removed the listings for sold out shapes. Had an eye on some numbers that have since disappeared from the page. Might be clearing them out altogether. Great deal regardless. Congrats on the 207, it's s good size and mine smokes beautifully.

Just enjoying some Sutliff Westminster (not GLP) in a brushed black Stanwell Canadian I've had for several years. It's a fine pipe, looks new despite being in rotation.

Stocked up on a stash of these to have ready when needed.
Nothing like stopping by the WCPS ad hoc to not have a pipe ready to enjoy with others. Won’t happen again now.
These are a great value pipe. Thanks for sharing. Still wondering how much of a stash P&C has of these. All set here.

Got the rest of mine in today... I’ve got to stop here but now that the bent bulldog shape is back in stock I am really, really tempted. I already have the 29 and 13 shape in the Trio line and I like them so much that I decided to double up on them. The 29 smokes St. Bruno like a dream and the 13 is a great Condor Plug pipe.

I GOT MINE!

I didn't think I needed more pipes, but I ordered four. (plus the free Luca Vanetti) On inspection, all have perfect drilling, three have no visible flaws the other has a small area near the rim with no varnish. Two have filters, the others do not take filters.

I have smoked them all several times now, and am amazed at their smokeability, even before a break in period. Fine ash all the way to the bottom, which just dumps out without the use of a pipe tool. They are amazingly light, and dangle with ease. I hate to say it, but I like them as well as some of my much more expensive pipes.

And here we go. The rash of eBay offerings for these Stanwell Brushed Brown pipes has begun. One seller (who shall remain nameless) has started classifying these as "New / Old Stock", as well as referring to them as "Grandpa's pipe". I shot the seller a question 'how old are these'...to which he responded "I'm not sure...maybe made within the last year or two". :?  No surprise that these NOS/Grandpa's pipes are the same $19.99 shapes we've been grabbing from P&C. I have NO problem with a guy buying these and flipping them to make a buck; I'll be selling some myself as well. It's misrepresenting them as old stock that I take issue with. Rant over.

I suspect that the seller is correct. The boxes that I got were dusty. I've been inside the P&C warehouse and that place is spotless. Exceptionally clean. With an air handling system that keeps a steady stream of filtered, humidified air flowing non-stop. Now, Mr. Grandpa's Pipe doesn't these pipes from Jack, so yeah, he's FOS to be sure.
But all of these pipes are essentially rejects. Which is why they've been scarred and scratched, to hide the scars and scratches. Several of mine have gray putty on them to fill holes. So my guess is that these pipes might have a few years on them, and that P&C has more than a couple of them that have been taking up precious shelf space but not selling.

My 2nd "decent" pipe was a black 185 just like the brown one currently offered. It's the one that turned me on to bent pipes, as it hangs so well and smokes great. Feels nice in the hand, as well.

I snagged one of the pokers in this deal and decided that I had enough. Then Hawky and Ben began wearing me down, so a second was ordered.
After I found the additional 20% code card in my last shipping box, I was minding my own business and 3 more forced their way into my cart.
They shipped today. Full family photo likely next week.
