Tobacco pipes is carrying a new line of radiator/calabash pipes called a Job bud of steel pipe. The thing that struck me, from the description, is the stainless steel bowl along with some kind of treated briar bowl underneath. Does not appeal to me but i 'm interested in whether any members have tried one.

Ya, um, no thanks! Not only would they be a poor tobacco smoker, but they're also just flat out ugly. On the other hand, one might be able to build some kind of retort out of it lol

I had a thread open about this topic. I ordered one a few days ago and it arrived today. After dinner and a shower I am going to have my first smoke in it. I am not fond of the look of it, but if it smokes as good as I think its going to I will be a happy camper.

I'm curious as to what you saw in this pipe that leads you to "think" it's going to smoke tobacco "good". Don't get me wrong... I hope it works as good as you think as well, but I'm not seeing the possibilities, and I'm interested in what made you pull that trigger.

Hmm, with heat, moist environment coupled with Alkaline tobacco and SS? Be interested to see how this holds up in the long run? SS is not impervious to corrosion.
I’m thinking a maintenance nightmare.
