St. Louis Gateway Pipe Show 2012

What better way to begin our last year on Earth together than by attending one of the last great Pipe Shows in our fair country?!
On Saturday, February 18th, 2012 the pipe smoking universe will gather in St. Charles, MO at the Hear of America Convention Center to buy, sell and trade to our heart's content, while smoking everything in sight. It will be beautiful.
And I'll have a table or two of affordable estate pipes ready to roll on behalf of the Viking Pipe Club of St. Louis!

I plan on being at the show midday Friday to Sunday morning. I can't wait! Two nights of dinner and late night smoke filled room with friends and a pipe show to boot. 8O

Are there many trades on estates pipe?

I was hoping to do some pipe trading.

mattia76, I'll hopefully have a few of my own making, estate pipes, a few cleaning supplies, hopefully pipe cleaners, estate pipe racks and a few other things.

I usually share a table with my buddy, who has his own table next to me this year and will have the same things.
tab812, There is always a log of trading going on and most people that sell estates would be willing to trade I'm sure.

st louis is only 3.5 hours to 3.25 hours if i drive and you hang on...lol :D :D :D

That's a Saturday and the room rate for show members is $69 plus taxes and such.

Guess you snooze, you lose. They are out of rooms at QI for the show. Guess I'll be driving up on Saturday instead, unless I book something somewhere else close to the show.

Whew! Word is getting out that the STL show is the place to be!
I just barely got a selling table, in the lobby at that. They are SOLD OUT. Space is going quickly for the show. If the weather cooperates, we may see record attendance!!!!

Well, I didn't get in the hotel there for show members. I do however travel for a living and have plenty of points saved up for LaQuinta and just booked two free nights a few miles away. Best part, the nights there are free. So I'll see you all at the hotel the night before the show in the hospitality room.

If your looking for a room and don't mind just being close (Probably 5 miles) the LaQuinta for the airport has rooms at $52 a night. That's where I'm staying.
I did break my leg on Monday, but still plan on attending. I'll just be setting for most of the show.
