I have to say I don’t understand the draw. The shapes were all standard Peterson shapes that you could buy any day of the week, weren’t they? The stain is all black, so you don’t see the wood grain or contrast. Is it just that they had that sandblast pattern? Is that sandblast pattern special in some way?
Goes to show the strong attraction Peterson pipes still command among many.I was blown away that they sold all 80 in one day. They were $200 to $300 each!
Same. I found them to be very unattractive. The black stain cheapens the look somehow. A warm brown would have highlighted the blast as well as shown off the underlying grain.I have to say I don’t understand the draw. I certainly prefer brown blasts over black.Same. I found them to be very unattractive. The black stain cheapens the look somehow. A warm brown would have highlighted the blast as well as shown off the underlying grain.
