Sources of Info On Old Meerschaum Pipes

About once a month someone comes into Missouri Meerschaum Company with an old, true meerschaum pipe seeking information about it. Since they are usually not members of our honorable hobby, they do not know the difference between a Missouri Meerschaum and a true meerschaum. Often they have inherited the pipe from an ancestor and want to know how old the pipe might be and where it was made. We would like to be able to give them the names and contact info of a couple knowledgeable people who could help them. We would welcome any suggestions, but need both names and contact info, preferably email addresses. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Great idea. But having the fellow post here would get wider attention, and be interesting to a number of folks. This one looks very buff, and perhaps historical.
BTW, at ca. ten posts a year, you are almost eligible to put up something for sale!!

Really cool pipe. That’s one buff angel, though! Kinda looks like this angel has both breasts and guns. Actually, I think it is Nike, Greek goddess of victory.

All I can say is that it's definitely genuine meerschaum, pre-1900, really beautiful, and the stem is block amber (which is brittle, so be careful with chewing on that).
