I came across this new song with a reference to lighting up a corncob pipe. Listen to it here.
Any other songs with reference to pipes?

Heard one the other day that surprised me. Group called the Dodos, song called "Bob".
There's not a lot that I could write about you/Your name is Bob, you smoke a pipe/That's what it amounts to.

saintpeter -
I just sat here and sung that whole thing to myself, giggling hysterically as I went. Thanks for the Monday pick-me-up!

I sang the following song in high school.
Tobacco Is Like Love
Tobacco, Tobacco

sing sweetly for Tobacco,

Tobacco is like love, O love it

for you see I wil prove it

Love maketh leane the fatte mens tumor,

so doth Tobacco,

Love still dries uppe the wanton humor,

so doth Tobacco,

love makes men sayle from shore to shore,

so doth Tobacco

Tis fond love often makes men poor

so doth Tobacco

Love makes men scorn al Coward feares,

so doth Tobacco

Love often sets men by the eares

so doth Tobacco.
Tobaccoe, Tobaccoe

Sing sweetely for Tobaccoe,

Tobaccoe is like Love, O love it,

For you see I have prowde it.

The Doors "Ship of Fools"

The lyrics are something like "This old man was graceful, with silver in his smile. He smoked a briar pipe and, he walked four country miles. Singing songs of shady sisters, and old time liberty. Songs of love and songs of hate. Songs that set men free".
