You get so much of the flavor of the cigar from the leaf touching your lips, why would you want one? I really am curious.

Well, I can’t believe people would do the tobacco a disservice by putting it on their dirty lips!
Cigar holders used to be a thing, made out of hard rubber or plastic. Softies seem an odd permutation. The cigar once moistened is already pretty soft, but something for everyone I guess. Cigar holders were for those who didn't want a wet chaw of cigar butt in their mouth at the end of the smoke.
Shame on me, I like a lot of flavored cigars with sweetened tips, guess I’ll have to dip my rubbers in honey.
Like most of the crowd, I consider leaf on lip to be a big part of the experience, and part of the nicotine delivery system as well. That said, I'll never tell anyone else how to take their own smokes. And I guess I could see how a product might be helpful for people who don't want to deal with finger or tooth discoloration.
If you need a softy bit on a cigar, you shouldn't be smoking cigars.
If the cigar is hard enough to need one, something's wrong.
