" I won't touch cigarettes unless Charlize Theron hands me a lit one after sex. In other words, a bit unlikely.... "
+1, Jpmcwjr!

Gonan check my local baccy shop for Pete's irish flake. I have no expectations that it will be near as strong as it's rumoured to be but it gets reviewed well which is actually why I'll try it.
Heard via email that Cotton Boll isn't in the country and will need specific packaging and regulation before it can enter and be sold in the Uk. F'ing gaaaaay!
Never mind.
On another note, I'm gona find my marble pestle and mortar and give grinding some twists up to make my own snuff. Even the best snuff for sale by the big names just fails to impress me, always perfumey, minty or just rank. None of them do true ground tobacco to shove up our noses!

"okiescout, I would rifle throat a carton of cigs if Charlize gave me the time of day."
+1 Harris.
There would probably be a line.

I routinely smoke Nightcap and Royal Yacht, and when I used to smoke cigars it was 6"-8" 42-ring maduro-maduros listed as being very strong. Never felt any nicotine effects at all, let alone bad ones. And I was never a cigarette smoker, tobacco chewer or snuff dipper. Probably if I took a deep inhale of RY I might feel it, but why the hell would I do that??

I always smoke on a full stomach: never before I eat. I'm certainly not one of the Tobacco Tough Guys here, but my favourite strong blend is Bad Nun by Synjeco. Order some, fill a group 4 with it and smoke it on an empty stomach: I dare you, tough guys...Those who aren't so tough will enjoy a nice dinner, light up and have a very strong, satisfying smoke.

Funny thing for me is when smoking cigarettes I will almost never smoke them back-to-back because too much nic gives me the jitters.

However with pipe tobacco I can stand pretty much all blends, even on an empty stomach, with a mild buzz at best...
All this talk of extreme nic has made me feel like I need to smoke some Black XX tonight.
Also I'm on a diet. This should get interesting...

You are comparing a new smoker's experience with an experienced one. Heck I had to go lie dow when I had my first bowl of Old Dark Fired and it was in a small Peterson 150. Peterson's Old Dublin seemed a STRONG tobacco to me at that time.
Every person is unique, some have a high nicotine tolerance and some have low.
Lots of newbies make the mistake of taking the body of a blend to its strength.
FVF for example has a really BOLD body but medium level Strength and that's just me. To someone else it may be an all day smoke.
Cheers,

Chris

Got a tin of Pete's Irish flake yesterday and just had my first proper bowl of it in my freshly cleaned and reamed Petersons Dongel pipe.
Very lovely sweet and tasty blend. Easy to prepare the flakes and a great hum of virginia and fruity smokiness.
No nic' buzz though ladies. ;)
Deffinately gonna have another bowl later tonight.
Also, this one is a nice kick starter back to tobacco that isn't super strong tasting cigar like twists! And I've kind of forgotten what the mild suff is like lo so I'm happy.
