Vegas Baby!!!
I had an Underboar it was an odd pipe. The area under the bowl, the clean out, limited the bowl size so I gave it to a Forum member.

They are rare as hens teeth, so if you snared one, CONGRATULATIONS.

That’s pretty crazy you wrote a reference about teeth on my post the same time I was writing about Mike Tyson’s Dentist on yours. Ahaha. Yeah, only basing off the reg number and the red circle. We will see.

A minor point. There’s a peculiarity with the Underboar: the last two numbers of the design registration are reversed on numerous examples of the pipe. Sometimes it’s stamped 682372, and sometimes 682327. I’ve never bothered to dig into it but I suspect the first version is the correct one and the second an error. If that’s right it might suggest pipes stamped 682327 are older than those stamped 682327. The underlying facts are probably knowable but the archives which would tell us the answer have been largely inaccessible over the last two years.

I noticed that too. I thought at first they were Gordon vs Charatan (minus Gordon as most Gordon say Charatan some where) but there just are only a handful to reference. Maybe the sleuths here that know about registration and designs can crack why the last 2 numbers are often different.

As far as I know I’m the only expert on UK design registrations as they apply to pipes. In this particular case the only way to get an answer that’s real, not inferential, is to find and order surviving papers for both reg numbers. It would cost about two hundred bucks and take about two months. And as always with research what you find may raise as many questions as are answered. Speaking just for me it’s too trivial an issue to spend the time & money.

I prefer to just hypothesize; You know, get a rumor mill started. That’s good to know though! Definitely not worth my time or money.

I’m not sure what to make. The pipe is in great condition considering it’s missing the stinger (darn). And the left side markings have 3 stars stricken over the name. I’m going to be sending it out for cleaning and will probably do some before and after photos.

Normally those marks means it’s a second or something similar. That’s a bummer.
