The only thing I can imagine is that there was a flaw in the briar that didn't show during carving. I've done woodworking for more years than I'm willing to admit and I've never seen wood react like that.

I love the "Engrish" at the bottom of the auction. It just proves that universal translators are a long way off.

WoW instant shock load fracture . Only see that in shafts that have sheared under laod . The high spot is the inital fracture the rest is caused by time slowly working its magic . Too bad
