Very sad news last night. Though I can only recall the song 'Nothing Compares To You' she was just as well known for her outspoken views, particularly on catholicism and religion as a whole.

She switched religious beliefs like I change my socks but then she was a much troubled person as was often made clear by her strange antics both on stage and off.

They still don't say what carried her off but I speculate it was self inflicted as she never got over the death of her young son.

Regards,

Jay.

It's very sad what she went through and how she was treated etc., but I wish more of the news articles would focus on her music vs the "troubled pop star" narrative. The Lion and the Cobra is a great album that has endured through all of her struggles. It's as if even in death the media is controlling her narrative.

Talk about inner demons.

I have no idea how many mental afflictions she "officially" had, but it doesn't matter. She was completely non-functional because of them on a recurring basis, and merely crazy-acting the rest of the time.

What a hand to have been dealt...

To me she was just a nut job with a lot of psychological baggage. She may have had a good voice, but she wasted it
on tiresome screeds. The funny thing about "rebels" or "crusaders" is that when you complain about everything nobody listens to anything you have to say.
