My only non-Falcon (or Falcon made pipe) is made by Invicta Pipes. It was / is a small company that started life as a pipe repair firm in my home town not far from where I was born.

When I found that out I had to get just one. I recently did this and managed to bag this absolutely beautiful pipe, Acorn bowl. It's so tactile in the hand, lovely to hold. The picture doesn't do it justice to the colours either. It's not a high value Peterson or a Savinelli, granted, but it is my 'posh' pipe.

Do you guys have any Invictas?

I have an Invicta Pear, which is kind of large but has nice quality briar and smokes many blends very well. Its size means that I don't smoke it as frequently as smaller pipes, but for £50 it was a bargain.

Recently, Pete Ellam offered some freehands at half price; I picked up the smallest plateau for £110 and it is turning out to be a favourite, a very sweet piece of briar that smokes cool. It is firmly in my rotation, smokes beautifully and lets the flavours of the blends I've burned in with come through very well. Some of the best briar Pete could get and it is noticeable. And it sits!
