Some brief background on Chacom:

CHAPUIS-COMOY&Cie is a creator, manufacturer and distributor of fine pipes, located in Saint-Claude, France. The name Chacom is a combination of the family names Chapuis and Comoy.

(note: Comoy's of London was created by one of the founders for the English market)

I was holding out for a 309L for a while, but soon realized that the extra two inches in the L was really just extra stem, not really a longer shank. Not by much at least... So I went with this. ?

My two Chacom pipes. They're at least 20 y.o. but don't know exactly. Classic shapes. Light weight. Very good smokers. The billiard is an everyday go-to pipe, the canadian is a virginia lover. French made pipes are a good value for the money, specially those from the Saint Calude factory.

I’m doomed. I thought I could avoid PAD, but I was in my local B&M. He just got in about a dozen estate pipes including this Chacom. I couldn’t resist. As you can see, it comes with a tamper and the middle portion of the stem can be removed if one wants a shorter pipe. Apparently, this was a special edition.
