In my huge stash of old pipes, I found an Illustrious model push stem Briarlee.

Who can say, at this date, if Lee decided something like, I need so many dollar pipes and had that many Briarlees made up, or it this Briarlee might have been a Star Grade except for a flaw?

Are the Strollers really that rare? I have a half dozen or so I should post. What i’ve never seen is what’s pictured in my catalog—a Lee branded Stroller with stars.
It took me forever to find the Stroller. What I like about them is the efficiency of their size. They are the perfect walking pipe for taking a stroll. They are also nicely balanced. It would be interesting to find one with stars. I agree. I've thought about selling mine, but it is one that just won't make the full list because it is such a nice example. I am also thinking I'll keep my Illustrious as well. These may end up on the rack at my second home with my collection of mid range size Lees.

I feel bad that @telescopes forgot to pull the listing for his Illustrious, but I’m so glad I won the auction!
This pipe is just what I’ve been looking for in a briar-light, portable, classy, American.
It’s in fantastic condition, a quick sanitize with everclear and an oil rub has it pristine. It’s gonna see a lot of use.
The Doblone d’Oro is drying out a touch to go to work tomorrow, but I may have to step outside and christen it with a bowl of Devil’s Holiday before bed.
