Patience and luck found its way to me. Early 70’s S. Bang. Grade 8.

Gorgeous pipe. I have a few Bangs but will have to locate pics. Congrats!

Definitely a significant piece in the style history sense. The approach clearly inspired the flood of stick-bit Ben Wades, Preben Holms & etc "freehands" that came a few years later.

Also interesting because it might have been made by one of the several carvers who was given a test drive by Svend before he hired Per and Ulf.

I have no Bang's to show. I could never grab one I like for below or at my pain threshold.

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if all the Copenhagen era pipes were before Per and Ulf started with Bang? ?

I have a couple: A sandblast Ring grain made by Ulf (signed) and blasted by Per. GREAT Smoker!



The other one is a FishnBanjo Estate piece from the 80's. Sandblasted sides with a Bridseye top. Really beautiful and a good smoker. Sorry about the crappy pics. Puffy
