I had several 24/47’s, some still had remnants of the FN stamping on the receiver. SOG 3fers. And a number of fresh M48’s with the bayonet and kit. Sweet Mausers.
Smoothest most accurate bolt actions ever made, in my opinion with the “03” Springfield in a close second

03 was basically a Mauser. They “stole” the design, and actually had to pay Mauser for the rights to manufacture it.

My favorite bolt action... Swede M94 carbine, South American Mausers are pretty sweet too.

Exactly on the “03”! I have a M-98 converted to 30-06 and sporterized by my grandfather, ain’t worth $100 but is a deer slaying machine!

There were tons of bring back 7.92 Mausers, and surplus mail order Mausers converted back in the day.

Why nobody ever started loading 7.92 is interesting. American mfrs loaded 6.5x55 and a few others.
