Should I Buy a Corona Pipemaster?

The piezo ignition & plastic frame make these a waste of a brass tank, imho.

Until they quit working. A flint is much easier to replace.

@EA-6B Both IM Coronas I've had that failed seem to be tank issues...

The brass tank would probably be last on my list of concerns for a Pipemaster, because in general metal gas tanks are reliable, but the piezo & plastic told me enough to know not to bother anyway.

Until they quit working. A flint is much easier to replace.

The electric spark. Piezo lighters notoriously malfunction.

Exactly, so it's a waste of a brass tank to equip one with things like a piezo ignition or a plastic frame. =)

I have 8 Pipemasters and love them and ;love then all. and not a one has given me any trouble over the years. Every one has never given me any trouble over the years and I love them all. They are all great and never one has ever given me any issues over the years..

I got a kiribi kabuto a year ago, and I really like it! I find it really worth the price. Taste better than with a bic lighter and way better than with a zippo. I mainly smoke outdoors and don’t have a lot of problem lighting it.

I have 2 Pipemasters and 2 Kiribi. If you use the high altitude Butane in the Pipemaster, it works pretty decent. Mine are probably around 2 years old. If i buy another pipe lighter, it would probably be a 3rd Kiribi. Great value for the money, I'm okay with replacing the occasional flint. The Pipemaster uses a piezo electric crystal for the spark, no flint.

Preach! Mines 4+ years old and going strong.

I have a Zippo and an Old Boy and so far the best thing I found for outside was the Bic EZ reach.
