I like shag cuts when I'm walking. Hardly requires relights, burns easy and if you puff moderately, it'll last longer than if you go at it like a wild beast.

I think way back when shag was referred to as an inferior tobacco it was more coarse cut and uneven pieces and not exactly the same angel hair strands of most shag today. Please correct me if I'm wrong though! Ive just heard that somewhere.
I love me a good shag. Tabac Manil has a few great shag cut blends. It's so easy to pack in my opinion, and there's never really a need for relights.
I love shag cuts. I too wish they were more common.
Brighton and Margate are also shag cut. And Tilbury’s ribbons are so thin they are almost shag like as well.
Because down south when you walk out of doors, right now, the pipe would instantly combust and be reduced to fine, white ash after the first hit.

I don't mind shag cut at all. Just pack it tighter with some mild hydration. Makes for a nice quick and easy smoke.
Aside from the ones already mentioned, And So to Bed is also a shag.

They may have already been mentioned but KBV has a few shags as well. Dark Bird’s Eye will always be my first love though. You never forget your first good shag....?
Only had Penny Farthing. Have no issues with shag cut. Then again, no issues with any others. I could imagine using less desirable leaves for shag cuts since there really isn't anything to look at.
What part of the South are you in? Here in the hills of Tennessee the humidity is about 9000%! It would probably turn into a puddle of goo before it combusted.....
