I remember him always.
I thought some of you might honor his memory, too.
A post I wrote about this hero:
End of Watch
RIP, Uncle Bill.

Being a police officer in an adjoining community, I have heard the story many times. I pass by the store where it happened often and always think about that tragedy and how it unfolded. I salute his service and lament his loss to you and to the city of Bedford Hts. I know cops who knw him and to a man he was well liked and respected in his profession.

MikeStanley, I am stunned and so gratified that you know my Uncle's story, that you and those in that community recall his service. Thank you.
Where are you on the job?
(And . . . oh my . . .what a small world.)

I came on some 10 ys after but most of the guys I worked with at that time knew him and talked about it often. Of course, you can't help but be moved by the plaque at he BHPD.

Thanks, for, sharing. The loss of those close to us is ever so hard, but God helps us through it and he will, have vengeance on the wicked when their time comes.
