As I am breaking open a new tin of this, about to try it for the first time, I laughed when I read a review about this and someone wrote:

"It's as though someone drove a tank over the tobacco, and that's what they call broken flake [ready rubbed flake]".

And that's folks, why I read Tobaccoreviews.com...

p.s.: not impressed with this wet and semi-sweet Virginian. Nothing spectacular in my eyes.

Succinct. By and large the SG blends do require drying time and, in some cases, extensive drying time. Giver it a while and try again. You may have a different experience.

I am extremely not impressed with Golden Glow. I like BBF when thoroughly dried, and love some FVF, but in general I'm way too annoyed by the difficulty of getting the SG virginias ready to smoke. Now I stick to McClelland...

I got some Golden Glow from a friend a while back and he had had it for a while so it was in a ready to smoke state when I got it. I thought it was a pretty decent blend. For me its a blend that I would smoke again, but its not a must have in my cellar.
