Seeking Opinions on Punch Pipe Tobacco (Lane LTD)

Howdy guys and dolls,

As the thread title suggests, I’m looking for input on Lane LTD’s Punch. I’ve read the reviews at TR and SPC, but I want PM members’ opinions. I’m a huge Lat fan, and have an opportunity to grab a few tins for ~$6 each. Is that a fair price, does it pack well, burn too fast, taste like cow pie, etc.?

I’m gonna bite and write up a little review on it

It is nothing like the cigars (which I like). I jarred this blend up after a couple of smokes. I am hoping that age will perform some magic. It is by Lane’s estimation (BTW, not mine) that this is an English blend. The obvious presence of burley took it out of that category for me. I found it to be on the harsh side. Time might eradicate or dissipate the harshness.
