I swear, it feels like I must have somehow handed Shane Ireland my bucket list of pipes, cause this year I’ve seen a number that I’ve been looking for quite some time to get. This new one is no exception. Since I saw Scottie’s pencil shank pipes I’ve wanted one and now that I’m collecting American carvers I feel a pencil shank Scottie is a must for this collection. I really like the stain on this one paired with the white stem. The craggy plateau like rim seemed like a playful addition to a very classic shape. With the chamber dimensions I think I’ll get a lot of good bowls of some of my favorite Va flakes out of it. Can’t wait to get it and have a break in bowl.

That's a fine looking pipe. I love the white stem with blue accent. Did you pull the trigger?

Is the bit really that wide, or just appear that way because of the narrow shank?

Great pipe, so light weight yet with an ample bowl. Looks like a really pleasant smoker.

@lordotpr, you have mentioned recently that you are trading in and trading up your pipe collection. I like what I’m seeing brother!

Looks to me from the pictures and video that it’s probably a normal fishtail just seems a bit exaggerated cause it tapers down to the diameter of the pencil shank.
npod - Thanks!

Amazingly enough it showed up yesterday afternoon! It’s a bit smaller than I thought, but still a really nice pipe. Passes a cleaner perfectly, very well balanced. Stem is flared to a normal size at the button. Really liking this one!
