No Tyler, but I did highlight it with a high purity nuclear grade white marker.

...with 1 coat of Carnauba Wax applied. So its now my new Latakia Dedicated pipe.

Willmer is a brand of H. Willmer & Son Ltd. The factory closed down about 2006-07 after more then 60 years activity and two generations of makers.

The on did better Id say. Yea, it was in the wee hours when I snagged it.

I like the way it smokes, resists heat well. I'm using it for Latakia blends or Condor only. I still like This Rossi better. They have similar high contrasting type grain to me. I believe the Willmer had been stained before I used a dremel green buffer wheel on it.

Any thoughts on the wood of this pipe? I wonder if its walnut and not briar? The picture of the bowl upside down showing the rings is the area that makes me wonder most. I cant say Ive really seen any briar burls quite as pronounced as that.
Comparison pics anyone?

I guess this ebay item has some of the same grain patterns, just not as dark. The darkness being one of the walnut thinking. I do think it was stained originally.
