Hi,
I would first like to start off by thanking fellow member "Mothernature" for sending me a sample of this find blend. I posted under general tobacco that I was looking for a slightly sweeter cross blend (VA/Latakia) type blend. I am mostly an aromatic fan, but looking to branch out. I have tried Boswells Countryside, Noggins Owls Head and Frog Morton ATT. I wasn't blown away by any of these.
I was using a Comoy rusticated prince as my pipe, not fully broken in ye, but with a carbonated bowl. Upon smelling the bacci, I loved it. It was a sweet woodsy smell, nothing overwhelming, but very present. Upon lighting, I tasted what I was smelling. A sweet, earthy flavor with a pleasant aroma that was perfect. Strength was mild to medium for me. Nicotine appeared to be low, great for me. I walked around town smoking this. I didn't get any compliments or complaints, so that was fine by me. No one was running away as I approached. LOL. It burned perfectly, minimal moisture. No relights, but the bowl is small at a 2 to 3. I tasted no bitterness or bite!
Very happy that I was able to sample this before I ordered a tin. For those that haven't tried it, please do. I you love a strong English blend, this is not for you. If you are transitioning from aromatics, this may well be the ticket. Thanks again Mothernature!
